Great newer restaurant in Barton. Service is awesome, Friendly bartenders, Randy and Jen make some of the best old fashioneds and bloodies in SE Wisconsin! Brisket nachos are to die for. The tuna sandwich not only looked amazing, but was absolutely delicious. Great food and great service every time! Loved the boss baby sandwich and fries. Friday clam chowder is amazing as well as the fish fry! Chicken wing specials on Wednesday and Saturday prime rib. Save room from for the amazing desserts from Blissful Bites like carrot cake and cheesecake!!
Reuben sandwich and dish deluxe hamburger were excellent! It was quiet. 4 waitresses. The others were back and forth frequently. Ours had to be requested several times.
Above average food for a cool corner bar. They always have a good soup, along with daily specials. The bartenders are friendly.
The food was ok. Wings were large, but very sinewy. Making for a lot of biting and picking the actual meat off. Price was great. Swiss, mushroom burger on rye was decent. Fries were average from the bag fries. Overall it was decent. Not sure we will visit again. If we do come back, we'll skip the wings.
Grab some friends and a few extra napkins - this isn't first date food, it's chicken wings at The Barton House! Here is my promised review from dinner last night with my boys. I would highly encourage you to start with an order or two of the House Dipped Ellworth White Cheddar Beer Battered & Fried Curds! This is one I think even Sam Buschman would love! Last night's Packer Special was $5/lb for Jumbo Wings (usually offered on Wednesday). I am glad we enjoyed the #wings because we can all agree there was nothing special about the Pack last night. My 10 year old son is the self proclaimed wing eating guru. It is his go to food of choice! He rates every place we go on a scale of one to ten. He gave the wings last night an overall score of 9! (P.S. Only dad's hot wings at home rate higher than a 9 I get like 100 lol) Some of the flavors varied on his scale, since he doesn't handle heat all that well. Here are all the sauces we tried last night. -Sweet Thai Chili (this was actually the most spicy but it was also my favorite) -Buffalo (just enough spice to let you eat more) -BBQ (tangy and really delicious, this was my younger kids favorite) -Garlic Parmesan (yet another really tasty wing) -Teriyaki (pretty great flavor this was my older son's favorite) So you can see we were all over the place with favorites! My suggestion go in on a Wednesday and try them all! You can get 5lbs of wings for $25! Come on man that is a STEAL! Don't over eat! They have DESSERT and you are going to want some! We tried the Southern Strawberry Short Cake (wish I could tell you more but I barely snuck a bite of the biscuit before my kids finished it.) I did however get to enjoy the Carrot Cake which is made locally by Blissful Bites. Steve Donaldson It was delicious you need to get in there soon and try a slice! I am looking forward to a return trip to really test out the menu and give you more feedback. Better yet you go and post about it for ME! I dare you! Enjoy!
For our 2nd time, visiting this hidden gem of a restaurant, we were once again blown away with the excellent service and quality of food. When you first come in, you're greeted with the warmest of welcome. You're seated in a cute dining area only to be greeted again by a stellar waitress. Today, we had Hayleigh wait on us, and may I say she's a doll. Attention to detail was above and beyond. The chef, though, is a show stopper. He noticed us coming in and delayed his break to make us the most succulent fried walleye, and the onion rings are about the size of your fist. What really rocked our socks off is that Chris took the time to come over and talk with us. He waited to see his mother and child on his break to make us an amazing lunch. Love The Barton House !!!
Where do I start??? Let me single out Katy our server and Chris our cook for an impeccable experience. We were greeted with a genuine warm welcome by our server and her attention and efficiency at her job never left us wanting anything all through the dining experience. I knew the main course was going to be off the charts, despite it being traditional fish fry Friday, ordered the Reuben sandwich and a salad and cheese curds. The attention to detail on a simple salad as well as the most appealing fried cheese I have ever experienced spoke volumes of the care put into the little things about this establishment. Cheese curds being remarkable in a state where even the convenience stores sell them is a feat unto itself.... But then the Reuben arrived. Dammmmmm that was a good sandwich. Strings of roasted corned beef done right with juuuuuust enough sauerkraut and cheese. I asked for extra thousand island dressing and didn't realize I'd be using that to dip the cheese curds in more than adding it to the sandwich since there was plenty aboard and it all just worked to make a fantastic meal. Job well done !!!! I don't go to West Bend often, but this might make me take a detour every now and then. Thank You for the experience.
